January Month Review

Well, January has been & gone and let’s face it, I’m just two posts in and I’m already slacking on the blog front. Rest assured, I have an excuse. I’ve been incredibly busy. Honest.

First off, as part of my challenge 2013, I said in January I would remain t-total. I would give up alcohol and remain dry. Well, you’ll be pleased to know I did it. I survived at least 5 televised Man Utd matches, 1 friends 30th birthday night out, 1 web design conference, 1 family get together and moving into a new house.

28 Days & Counting

Well, my Dryathlon is now 28 days done & including today, there are only 3 days left. And, I would be lying if I said it’s been easy. I do like a nice ale, a glass of red or a cold gin & tonic just as much as the next guy (maybe more), especially on the weekends or when out watching the football.

By the end of the month of January, there will have been 5 televised Manchester United matches, one of which was against the old enemy from the other end of the Manchester Ship Canal, Liverpool. (more…)

Here Comes 2013 & Some Things New

This is my Hello World post, traditionally the first post for any WordPress blog.

First, a bit of background information. I’ve been a front-end developer since the day I left University, over 6 years ago. I’ve been working with WordPress almost 5 years. I’ve had my own site/blog since… well, today.

I woke up this morning determined to have my own online presence for 2013. Which, using the famous 5 minute install for WordPress and the default Twenty Twelve theme it wasn’t a hard goal to achieve.

I’m going to jump straight into this blogging malarkey and set some goals for both this site and for 2013 as a whole. (more…)
